<< Can anyone out there enlighten me about this group? A friend taped their twelve inches for me a few years ago and I listen to them fairly regularly, but know nothing whatsoever about them, the who what wheres as it were. Has any of their stuff ever been reissued? Since this is my first post to the list I should probably say hello...name's Greg, some might recognize me as Chuzzlewit or Low Voltage. Nice to be on a good pop list again. Greg >> hey greg -- although i don't have detailed knowledge about the band's history and background, i can tell you that after self-releasing a flexi and cassette in '87-'88, they came out with their first vinyl release in '88, a 7" on autumn glow records called "dean's 11th dream." i actually don't like the songs on that one quite as much as the 12"s that you probably have on tape. "clearlake revisited" was the first of those, on plastic head records in '89, followed by "sean connery" on el records in '90. aside from some compilation appearances which involved previously released songs, i believe that's all they came out with and i know nothing of the band members' subsequent activities. i hope that helps you a bit anyway. i have a question about chuzzlewit, greg, since i am a big fan and you were the ringleader. i have the "snowflakes fly" 7", the "north atlantic" 7" and the earworm cd comp "a map full of maybes." i missed the boat on the cassettes, however - there were three, correct? if you have any copies left of these, could you reserve one of each for me and email me letting me know where to send payment: stumck@--hidden-- what sort of music have you been creating since the chuzzlewit days, and what other bands are on the low voltage label? is there a label website out there? thanks, stuart mckenney more info: http://www.twee.net/shalala/
