The Servants
Have some Servants on tape, they're good, remind me of a lusher
Go-Betweens (which is to say they're near the early Apartments). Been told
that Servants people went on to the Auteurs: is this true? (Also, were
they Irish?)
Currently enjoying: Sarah Dougher's _Day One_, which is pretty much a folk
album, the Muffs' collected outtakes (_Hamburger_), which is pretty much a
good Fastbacks album, and the Dislocation Dance Peel sessions, which are
pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty. Andy Diagram's now a Spacehead; where'd
the rest of them go? Also, where have I heard "You'll Never Never Know"
before? s
Is anyone familiar with 80's UK band The Servants? I'd like to know more
about their discography, best moments, if they ever came out in the US,
etc. All I know is one of the guys went to play bass on Lush later on,
and that they were reportedly very good.
